Well 2 weeks ago my gsr tranny went BOOM so I needed a new one. I got a Civic type R tranny from HONDAFREAK on ClubSi. It is the equivalent to our usdm 97-98 ITR tranny. I received it yesterday so I took it to work and took it apart and cleaned it. It had some dust, dirt, foam on it so I figured it wouldn't hurt to clean it. I am installing it today. I will let you know my impressions of it. LSD FINALLY!!!

I did the same thing when I grenaded my GSR tranny. Prepare for 4500 RPM cruising on the freeway! If you have a VTEC controller, use it to move your VTEC point up a bit or you're going to be bouncing in and out of vtec all the time on the freeway.

Way to go Nick. There is about 13% more gear in the first four gears to improve your acceleration.

Well it's in. I haven't really gotten a chance to "get on it" cause it's raining here. However as soon as it dries up I will test it out.
NEXUSONE: You are right about getting a Quaffe. I'm probably going to sell the ctr diff to a friend along with my gsr gears, and then buy a Quaffe. You can't beat that warranty.
After I broke my gsr I put in an LS tranny and man it was great traveling, cause at 80mph I was at 3500rpm's. With the gsr I was at 4000rpms. I will probably be at 4300rpms now. That kind of sucks, but 1st through 3rd should be awesome!
